As I was going door-to-door last year, I was struck by how many citizens were consistently raising county-level concerns. My instinct is to help.
Then when Jim Bernard and Ken Humberston won their races for county chair and commissioner, respectively, it created an opening on the Clackamas County Commission.
I submitted an application, along with 77 other people, for the vacancy.
I am humbled and honored to have been selected as one of eight finalists for the position, to be interviewed next week. See the Portland Tribune story here .
I’m excited by the opportunity to put my experience and education to work during what will be some very challenging times for a county that I hold dear.
One of the questions I will be asked is “what do you think is the biggest issue facing Clackamas County?” I’d like to know your view. If you live in Clackamas County, or have some insights, please feel free to email me your thoughts. ten.l1503495031iamgc1503495031c@nog1503495031erO4a1503495031illaG1503495031
